- Market validation for a physician-owned medical facility in a targeted area
- Community Physician input to determine support, probable utilization and needed scope of services
- Financial model construction to ascertain financial viability
- Engage real estate developer
II. Private Placement Memorandum and Syndication
- Create the legal business structure for the planned facility
- Develop a Private Placement Memorandum (“PPM”)
- Distribution of PPM to a very select group of potential investors
- Completion of subscription documents and collection of investment monies
- Formation of the Partnership
III. Hospital Development and Design
- Select Architectural and Construction firms
- Create Schematic Design of facility with input from physician investors
- Equipment planning with input from physician investors
- Functional space and work-flow design with input from physician investors
- Conversion of design elements into load and utility requirements
IV. Construction Project Management
- Act as the owner’s representative on all construction details
- Report to the investors on the status and progress
- Work closely with the general contractor and the architect through facility opening
V. Hospital Operations Start-up
- Hospital Management begins when construction is initiated
- Design of all organizational operating systems
- Selection of contracted medical service providers with input from physician investors
- Formation and training of the RHI on-site management team
- Insure readiness for all licensing and accreditation surveys from Joint Commission (JC) and Texas Department of State Health Services (TDSHS) or the counterpart in other states.
- Coordinate and oversee initial staffing of the facility
IV. Hospital Management
- In-service training of all hospital personnel in preparation for accepting patients
- Ongoing education and training of key hospital personnel
- Ensure that the hospital achieves requisite accreditation and credentialing
- Ongoing oversight of all hospital departments and operations
- Annual Operational and Capital Budget preparation
- Business Office operational oversight and monitoring
- GPO negotiations and oversight
- Timely identification of opportunities for improvement
- Pre-Survey assessments for compliance
- Design and implementation of corrective action plans
- Ongoing communication with, and accountability to, the Hospital Board and Partnership

VI. Limited Partnership Management
- Form the Limited Partnership
- Facilitate election of the Committee of Partners (COP), the governing body for the Partnership
- Sit on the COP as the General Partner
- Advise Partnership on financial and legal matters
- Maintain and manage operational assets of the Partnership
- Prosecute, defend and settle all legal, or administrative disputes related to the Partnership
- Establish and maintain timely communication with Limited Partner
